Growing up, I always had an interest in the strange and unusual. Anything odd looking and unique was treasured. I also developed a strong desire to research my family’s history in my early twenties which took me on an amazing journey of discovery across the world.
All of these interests and experiences come together in my blog, where I share the stories of interesting places, artists, ancestors and whimsical antiques and collectables.
My blog is called “Dayne’s Discoveries”, as with each article there is a process where I conduct extensive research to discover all the details about my subject and piece them together to form a brief history for you to enjoy.
Established in 2014, Dayne’s Discoveries features numerous articles covering unique topics that are most often not written about elsewhere online. Recently there has been a deeper focus on Norwegian art having emigrated to Oslo, Norway in 2021.
